Overview
Job Title: Repair Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Possess in-depth expertise in equipment and systems, particularly within Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and Supermicro server environments.
- Maintain, repair, identify, and resolve complex technical issues while ensuring compliance with Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) standards.
- Oversee and guide testing activities such as motherboard repair, add-on card/backplane testing, ECO rework, and BIOS upgrades.
- Ensure adherence to standardized testing procedures and quality control measures in line with commercial standards and customer expectations.
- Plan, assign, and track multiple maintenance and repair projects to completion, ensuring timely delivery and optimal use of resources.
- Supervise accurate documentation in repair databases (RMA entries, ECO upgrades, testing logs).
- Align projects with RBA guidelines on fair labor, worker safety, and ethical practices.
- Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and customers, clearly explaining technical findings and repair steps.
- Foster collaboration across QA, Engineering, and Production teams to improve product reliability.
- Promote an inclusive and open environment aligned with RBA principles of transparency and non-discrimination.
- Rapidly identify and analyze defects through systematic inspection, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Develop robust resolution strategies that balance speed, accuracy, safety, and environmental protection.
- Maintain productivity and accuracy in fast-paced environments while ensuring all solutions meet compliance requirements.
- Lead, coach, and mentor technicians to deliver high-quality repair and testing outcomes.
- Build team capabilities in troubleshooting, ECO rework, and diagnostic tool usage.
- Uphold a respectful, inclusive, and growth-oriented workplace consistent with RBA standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) repair within the computer manufacturing sector, with strong PCBA and Supermicro server expertise.
- Education: College degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred; Diploma or certificate holders with proven hands-on repair/testing experience will also be considered.
- Languages: Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia required; Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage in supply chain communication.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of PC, system, and server operations, including troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Skilled in using diagnostic hand tools for hardware inspection and testing.
- Knowledge of component-level testing and inspection methodologies.
- Soft Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously under deadlines.
- Proactive, collaborative team player demonstrating reliability.
