Job summary

TÜV NORD Malaysia is seeking a qualified engineer to provide engineering, project delivery, and business development support to the Energy & Environmental Assurance department, focusing on Renewable Energy and utility-scale Solar PV/LSS projects. You will assist the Project Manager across EPCC and O&M lifecycle.

The role involves reviewing technical documents, coordinating with developers and EPC/O&M contractors, preparing technical proposals, and supporting client engagement and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering as listed.
• 7–8 years of relevant engineering/project experience.
• Hands-on solar PV LSS project experience preferred.
• Experience with EPCC, construction, commissioning and/or O&M.
• Ability to review technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong English and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in developing and executing Solar PV / Renewable Energy projects.
• Provide engineering and project coordination support across EPCC, construction, commissioning and O&M activities.
• Review project technical documents, drawings, specifications, method statements and project deliverables.
• Coordinate with project developers, asset owners, EPC contractors, O&M contractors, suppliers and technical consultants.
• Support site activities including technical inspections, construction monitoring, commissioning and performance-related assessments.
• Assist in preparation of technical proposals, quotations, scopes of work, reports and presentations.
• Support development of TÜV NORD's technical assurance / independent engineering services for Solar PV and other Renewable Energy projects.
• Support the Project Manager in business development and client engagement, including meetings, presentations, seminars and follow-up of opportunities.
• Identify potential technical assurance opportunities within existing and upcoming LSS / Solar PV projects.
• Monitor project progress, deliverables, schedules and client requirements.

To provide engineering, project delivery, and business development support to the Energy & Environmental Assurance department, with primary involvement in Renewable Energy projects, particularly utility-scale Solar PV / Large Scale Solar (LSS) projects. About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 7–8 years of relevant engineering/project experience.
• Hands-on experience in utility-scale Solar PV / Large Scale Solar (LSS) projects is strongly preferred.
• Experience in Solar PV EPCC, construction, commissioning and/or O&M.
• Experience working with Solar PV developers, asset owners, EPC contractors or O&M contractors.
• Experience in project coordination, technical documentation and site-based activities.
• Good understanding of Solar PV systems, project lifecycle and utility-scale PV project execution.
• Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, reports and project documentation.
• Good command of English is required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
