Alignerr is recruiting detail-oriented transcriptionists in the Kuala Lumpur area for remote, hourly contract work. You will produce verbatim Chinese transcripts from audio, identify speakers, and adhere to strict formatting guidelines.

The role emphasizes independence, reliability, and consistent accuracy across high volumes of content. Native or near-native Simplified Chinese fluency and strong listening skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Native-level written and listening skills in Simplified Chinese.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in transcripts.
• Ability to follow detailed style guidelines and formatting rules.
• Ability to work independently and manage time across flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Listen to Chinese audio and produce verbatim, accurate Transcripts in Simplified Chinese.
• Identify and separate multiple speakers within a recording.
• Capture crosstalk, overlaps, filled pauses, false starts, and self-corrections.
• Handle challenging audio: noise, accents, varying speeds.
• Apply style guides consistently across transcriptions.
• Flag unclear segments and follow protocols for unintelligible parts.
• Maintain high accuracy across large volumes of content.
• Work asynchronously on your own schedule.
