Job summary

Sunbytes is seeking a remote Systems Engineer (Cloud & Core Services) to design, implement, operate, and improve hybrid-cloud datacenter core services for a global enterprise. You will work with global IT, security, and application teams across regions to ensure architecture standards align with IT initiatives, and you will monitor, patch, and optimize cloud and on-prem infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in hybrid-cloud environments, strong Azure and Windows Server experience, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
6+ years of experience in hybrid-cloud datacenter environments.
Strong English communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Certifications in cloud, datacenter technologies, or ITIL are a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain the client's global hybrid-cloud infrastructure.
Participate in design, installation, configuration, patching, and system updates.
Oversee daily activities of contractors and managed service providers, including 24/7 monitoring and change management.
Support incident response, troubleshooting, and infrastructure upgrades.
Plan, deploy, and administer core services and hybrid-cloud platforms (Azure, AD, Linux).
Collaborate with internal IT teams and vendors to support system objectives.
Ensure architecture standards and infrastructure strategy align with global IT initiatives.
