Job summary

Hasbro, Inc. and Wizards of the Coast seek an Accountant to join the Controllership team in a remote capacity. You will manage fixed assets, leases, and close processes, while ensuring GAAP compliance and coordinating with internal partners.

You’ll leverage SAP and Blackline to post entries, perform reconciliations, and support audits, reporting to the Controllership function and supporting external accounting professionals as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
• Minimum 2 years accounting experience (public company and/or public accounting experience preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and solve problems in a fast-paced team environment.
• Experience with SAP and/or Blackline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update lease tool with accurate records of lease agreements and renewals.
• Handle acquisition, capitalization, and depreciation of fixed assets per standards (ASC 350/ASC 985).
• Update fixed asset master data in SAP.
• Conduct impairment analyses for fixed assets and prepare roll forwards.
• Perform close activities and post journal entries.
• Conduct and assess account reconciliations with supporting documents.
• Carry out variance analyses to identify discrepancies.
• Prepare and post manual journal entries using Blackline and SAP.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
• Support audits with documentation and audit inquiries.
• Own in-scope SOX controls and remediation plans.
• Coordinate with third-party accountants and review their work.
• Act as contact for external accounting professionals and provide mentorship.
