Job summary

Coherent Malaysia, previously II-VI Incorporated, is seeking a hands-on Reliability Lab Technician to handle test samples, collect and report results, and maintain test equipment on-site at our Perak facility. You will work with engineers to execute qualification per test plan and follow SOPs and safety guidelines in a fast-paced lab environment.

The role requires a Diploma/Certificate in Electrical/Electronics, familiarity with test equipment, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in electrical/electronics or related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with reliability/environmental test equipment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of test methods and measurement tools such as multimeter, analyzer, microscope.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills for data collection and reporting.
• Ability to follow test plans and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle test samples (preparation, testing, loading/unloading, inspection) and ensure traceability in system.
• Collect and report test results.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of reliability test equipment and burn in station.
• Support engineers in executing qualification per test plan.
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines in the reliability lab.
• Escalate abnormal test results or equipment issues to engineers promptly.
