Job summary

Mahsuri Food in Malaysia seeks an Engineering Project & Continuous Improvement professional to lead machine upgrades, capacity enhancements, and automation initiatives. Diploma or Bachelor's in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or related engineering is required; 3–5 years of hands-on project experience in manufacturing.

You will manage URS, schedules, budgets, installation, FAT/SAT, and handover, while ensuring equipment readiness and adherence to quality and food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, maintenance engineering or related technical disciplines.
• Minimum 3–5 years hands-on project experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in food manufacturing/FMCG packaging is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with quality and food safety management systems.
• Able to write and speak in Malay and English.
• Independent, self-motivated and aggressive.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead machine upgrades, replacement projects, and capacity enhancement initiatives.
• Develop project scope, URS, schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Manage equipment installation, commissioning, FAT, SAT, and handover activities.
• Execute automation, modernization, and process improvement projects.
• Support facility expansion and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, contractors, and technical deliverables.
• Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
