Job Summary

As a Standard Chartered Employee Banking Relationship Manager, you'll cultivate and nurture strong relationships with corporate clients. You’ll focus on expanding our existing payroll and employee banking base, boosting our share of wallet and revenue, and achieving the bank's strategic objectives. While delivering exceptional customer service and financial solutions, you’ll ensure compliance with operational risk and regulatory frameworks.

About Wealth and Retail Banking

Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) serves more than 11 million clients in many of the world’s fastest-growing markets. Our client continuum spans from Mass Retail to Affluent, including high-net worth clients served by our Private Bank. We leverage digital banking channels with a human touch to provide clients with differentiated products and services such as deposits, payments, financing, wealth management, and personalized advice. We also support small business clients with their banking needs.

Job Requirements :

  1. Plan and Prospect: Create monthly plans to generate new business, source, and contact potential clients regularly to maintain a sales pipeline, in consultation with the supervisor.
  2. Collaborate and cross-sell/upsell: Establish strong relationships with Corporate & Institutional Clients, Commercial Clients, and Priority Banking partners to increase Payroll Employee Banking share within their existing customer segments. Solicit referrals from other parts of the SCB Group and Business Partners, and cross-sell multiple unsecured products to meet revenue targets.
  3. Information Database: Build and maintain a database of existing Employee Banking customers to support relationship building and cross-selling efforts.
  4. Portfolio Review and Market Awareness: Regularly review customer investment portfolios to maintain relationships and manage cross-sell ratios. Stay updated on customer needs, market trends, competitor programs, and activities to enhance product differentiation.
  5. Ensure compliance: Adhere to policies and regulations, and manage credit and operational risks.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 5 years of corporate sales experience, preferably in banking and financial services.
  • Knowledge of bank products and services, with strong marketing and sales management skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with the ability to prepare presentations and summaries for senior management.
  • Strong collaboration and networking skills to work effectively across departments.
