Job description

Regulatory Affairs & Product Compliance Executive
  • Understand the local HS codes and import regulations of each country and ensure compliance before initiate any shipment.
  • Knowledge/Understanding of European Union (EU/UK) Tariff Schedules (preferred but not compulsory)
  • Coordinate with 3rd party Consultant to review packaging design brief from suppliers and identify if any risk with regard to the product approbation (Material standards and Test standards), for the destined markets (countries)
  • Maintain all the latest international testing standards and regulator specifications and approbation standards for all major product categories such as: Household, Medical, Appliances, Floor Cleaning, Toys, Packaging
  • Cascade the complied information to the Local and China Purchasing teams for alignment. Ensure the samples ordered through Purchasing or supplier are verified and meet the intended product approbation standards
  • Align with both Purchasing team and Local Import team to resolve any issues, during the importation
  • Responsible to reach out to third-party Consultant for product compliance and obtaining quotation and lead time on the approbation
  • To manage and maintain a tracking log for all the compliance regulatory safety certificates or an official declaration letter of compliance from all the suppliers, to Meet the local importation and licensing standards
  • To endorse and provide supporting certificates for all relevant parties to approve
  • Attend project meetings and provide updates and any issues that need resolving
  • Report the compliance progress to the Manager accordingly
  • Monitor testing regimes to ensure new products are able to meet the required international standards for the destined markets (countries)
  • Monitor and report legislation changes and provide input to management on the impact of changing regulations
  • Maintain and update regulatory files/ database including reports, licenses, permits and certificates for internal record keeping
  • Other duties as assigned by superior.
Requirement:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in any Engineering/Business Management field and min. 2 years of experience
  • Good understanding of local regulations and compliance obligations, Customs operation and HS codes knowledge
  • Familiar and experience in working with 3rd party agencies and within ISO or product compliance environment
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
