Job summary

EMAX Corporate in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Regulatory Compliance & Stakeholder Management professional to lead our regulatory affairs and government liaison efforts. You will ensure compliance programs identify, prevent, detect, and correct non-conformities while coordinating with authorities across Malaysia.

You will analyse new regulations, propose strategic updates to SOPs, manage cross-department projects, and represent the company in discussions with agencies and industry bodies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Public Policy, or related field.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in regulatory compliance, government affairs, or stakeholder management.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysia’s regulatory environment, including MCMC, KKOM, KPDNHEP, and AMLA.
  • Experience in regulatory documentation, compliance audits, licensing, and government liaison.
  • Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and Power BI; familiarity with CCEP or ISO compliance training is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Willing to travel for regulatory meetings and engagements.

Policy Analysis & Implementation
  • Analyse new and existing regulations, assessing their impact on the organisation’s operations, products, and services.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior management to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the development and periodic review of the organisation's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to regulatory compliance.
Project Management & Reporting
  • Manage cross-departmental projects related to regulatory compliance, such as systems enhancements or industry-specific initiatives.
  • Oversee the development and improvement of compliance-related tools, including user interface designs and technical specifications.
  • Monitor and report on compliance activities, ensuring effective documentation and timely submissions.
Relationship Building & Representation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
  • Represent the organization in regulatory discussions, industry conferences, and public inquiries.
  • Foster collaborations with strategic partners and other industry players to support the organization’s initiatives and objectives.
Training & Awareness
  • Conduct training sessions and briefings for internal teams to promote awareness of relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Act as the point of contact for regulatory updates and disseminate information within the organization to ensure compliance.
Requirements
