Job summary

KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to render professional nursing care within an allocated unit, following hospital policies and procedures. You will participate in shift duties, handover reports, and collaborative rounds with doctors to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires strong communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia, along with a commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and quality improvement across nursing operations.

Qualifications

• Registered with Nursing Board of Malaysia with a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Proficient in writing and conversing in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Microsoft Office literacy.

Responsibilities

• Render professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit.
• Carry out nursing care aligned with the Nursing Services policies and procedures and clinical directions.
• Receive handover reports, assess patients, and re-plan care as needed.
• Lead or participate in ward rounds, document care accurately and contemporaneously.
• Report abnormal findings to doctors and participate in patient safety and quality improvement activities.
• Assist in maintenance of equipment, stock management, and adherence to infection control policies.
• Support Unit Manager in supervision of junior staff and unit operations.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and patient confidentiality.
