Job summary

Businesslist in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Financial Planner to advise Japanese clients across ASEAN on financial goals and risk tolerance. You will structure solutions spanning life/health insurance, asset management, and overseas investments.

The role requires 3+ years in financial sales, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid remote environment. You will develop new HNW clients and manage ongoing relationships, with regional exposure across ASEAN.

Qualifications

• Native-level Japanese (written and spoken) to communicate with clients.
• Fluent business English to coordinate with the local team and regional partners.
• Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience in banking, insurance, wealth management, or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Japanese clients across ASEAN to understand financial goals and risk tolerance.
• Present and structure personalized financial solutions covering life/health insurance, asset management portfolios, and overseas investments.
• Identify and acquire new high-net-worth Japanese clients through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach.
• Maintain deep, long-term relationships with existing clients, conducting regular portfolio reviews.
• Coordinate across borders to offer overseas investment guidance.
