Regional Senior Executive, Quality Assurance
- Conduct approval and routine supplier audits to ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance; work closely with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues, including defects or inconsistencies.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, fostering continuous improvement in product quality.
2. Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Review supplier FSQ documentation, such as QAP, product specifications, certificates of analysis, testing reports, and quality control protocols, ensuring their validity.
- Address FSQ-related concerns with suppliers to ensure compliance.
- Monitor compliance with food safety standards, including FSSC22000, HACCP, FDA/EU FC regulations, and other relevant standards.
3. Product Innovation and Development Support
- Collaborate with Product Innovation and Retail Operations teams to evaluate products, ensuring compliance and feasibility within retail operations.
- Conduct testing for ingredients, food, and packaging to ensure safety, quality, and consistency.
4. Supplier Performance Scoreboard
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on supplier performance, including non-conformance reports, incident tracking, and corrective actions.
- Identify trends in product quality, complaints, or incidents; work with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Manage and update the Supplier Performance Scoreboard.
- Handle product incidents, feedback, and recalls in coordination with retail outlets.
- Escalate product incidents to involved suppliers promptly, review corrective actions, and document incidents accordingly.
5. Packaging (Cups & Lids) – if relevant
- Develop and implement quality control measures and testing protocols for packaging materials.
- Collaborate with the product development team to introduce and improve packaging solutions.
- Ensure traceability of packaging materials to support safety and compliance.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and marketing to align packaging with brand and product requirements.
- Provide technical support on packaging issues.
- Monitor supplier performance and product quality related to packaging.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Technology, Engineering, or related fields.
- Training in technical areas relevant to product safety standards (HACCP / GFSI).
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, or Food Safety within the food and beverage industry, preferably in Quick Restaurant Services.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of supplier management, auditing processes, food safety standards, and quality assurance tools.
- Hands-on experience with certification audits such as GFSI is preferred.
