Job Description
Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is a leadership role responsible for overseeing sales operations, driving revenue growth, and managing a sales team within a designated geographic region. The responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing sales strategies, including implementing regional sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, and analyzing market trends and competitors’ activities.
- Managing the turnover and Profit & Loss (P&L) for the assigned sales area within a country or region.
- Leading the Area Sales Manager (ASM) and Business Development Manager (BDM) teams, where applicable, with ownership of resource and capacity allocation within the sales area.
- Acting as an escalation point internally and externally for the ASM and BDM teams.
- Identifying and acquiring new dealers and developing the existing customer portfolio within the sales area.
- Ensuring proper deployment of Terms & Conditions (T&C) and pricing within frameworks, and growing distribution penetration and listings.
- Communicating and implementing cross-business unit marketing activities across the sales area.
- Monitoring sales metrics and preparing regular performance and forecast reports for senior management.
- Collaborating with marketing, product, and operations teams to align strategies and meet customer needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in sales; experience in the Power Tools industry is an advantage.
- Proven track record of generating new business and achieving rapid revenue growth, with excellent value selling and negotiation skills.
- Flexible, resilient problem solver with strong assertiveness and persuasion skills, enthusiastic about technological developments, and able to leverage them to propose technical solutions to meet customer objectives.
- Excellent communication skills in negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal interactions.
- Experience in leading a team is highly preferred.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
