Mission Statement:
To lead the development, launch, and regional rollout of TECO’s Transformer business across Southeast Asia. The role is accountable for building competitive product positioning, driving go-to-market execution, and enabling sales teams and partners to succeed in key markets including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. This position plays a central role in transforming TECO’s presence in the transformer sector from passive to proactive, project- and service-driven leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regional Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and execute a 3-year product roadmap for Transformers aligned with SEA market needs and TECO Group’s global portfolio.
- Adapt Taiwan-developed transformer products (e.g., via Sheng Chang/PT SINTRA) for SEA applications and certification.
- Identify customer requirements, competitive benchmarks, and regulatory needs to localize product offerings.
2. Market Rollout & Business Development
- Spearhead transformer business entry in target countries: Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand (Phase 1), followed by wider SEA.
- Coordinate qualification, testing, and regulatory approval processes with country teams and certification consultants.
- Drive demand generation activities including demo projects, exhibitions, and technical presentations.
3. Sales Enablement & Partner Engagement
- Provide technical support, training, and sales tools to local teams and channel partners.
- Develop and maintain Transformer solution kits (catalogues, datasheets, selection tools, and case studies).
- Assist in strategic bids, major account development, and solution alignment for EPC, OEM, and infrastructure projects.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as the regional liaison with TECO HQ R&D and PT SINTRA ODM operations for product alignment and customization.
- Collaborate with MarComm on product launch campaigns and solution branding.
- Work with after-sales/service to build warranty, lifecycle, and service models for transformer installed base.
5. Performance & Governance
- Establish and track regional KPIs including sales volume, margin contribution, project wins, and product qualification milestones.
- Provide quarterly performance updates and market insights to RHQ and global product leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Transformer or Power Equipment product management, engineering, or technical sales.
- Familiarity with IEC/ANSI standards, power utility specifications, and certification processes across Southeast Asia.
- Experience working with OEM/ODM partners and managing cross-border product launches.
- Strong understanding of transformer applications in utilities, industrial, EPC, and infrastructure segments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (English required; Mandarin is a plus).
- Ability to travel regionally as needed.
Preferred Attributes:
- Product launch experience across multiple SEA countries.
- Knowledge of industry players including certification bodies, EPCs, and energy consultants in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
