Position Summary
We are seeking an expert in agricultural ingredients to step into the newly created position of Regional Procurement Manager – Berries & Vegetables. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will manage the commercial and sourcing activities for vegetable and berry ingredients used by Nestlé.
Reporting to the Global Category Leader, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the category strategy for the spend in scope, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies, negotiating contracts to ensure supply as per Business needs.

A day in a life of a Regional Procurement Manager - Berries & Vegetables
- Define and implement the category strategy for your portfolio of ingredients on a regional level, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools, and policies.
- Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage relationships with various stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes into local budgets and price planning.
- Negotiate contracts to secure the most advantageous commercial agreements with suppliers, in line with the strategy.
- Collaborate with Supplier Relationship Management to lead commercial relationships with strategic suppliers and ensure contract performance.
- Engage in developing and implementation of Nestle Sustainability roadmap.
What Makes You Successful
- Strong understanding of agricultural ingredients on a multi-national level, including sourcing, processing, and applications within food manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement or sales, particularly in sourcing/selling fruits or vegetables, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier/customer relationships.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess market trends, supplier performance, and cost structures to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence & collaborate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are advantageous.
