Job description

Lead PerkinElmer’s procurement efforts across Asia. This senior role will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that support our growth objectives while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and supply chain optimization. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in procurement and supplier management to drive competitive advantages and sustainable practices.

Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Procurement Leadership covering all spend in Asia (Direct and Indirect Procurement)
  2. Develop and implement regional procurement strategies aligned with global objectives, focusing on cost efficiency, innovation, sustainability, and risk management.
  3. Collaborate with global procurement teams & commodity managers to ensure alignment and best practices across regions.
  4. Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality, cost-effective supply lines.
  5. Lead supplier performance management, including evaluations, negotiations, and development programs to ensure standards.
  6. Oversee day-to-day purchasing operations, ensuring seamless processes in the delivery of goods and services to our sites in Asia.
  7. Optimize procurement procedures and policies to increase transparency, reduce waste, and promote continuous improvement.
  8. Plan and implement activities related to procurement, inventory control, planning, and quality of production materials.
  9. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs and streamline processes.
  10. Lead special projects and key initiatives as assigned.
  11. Lead and mentor the Asia procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth.
  12. Identify and nurture talent within the team to develop future leaders in procurement.
  13. Manage the procurement budget for the region and identify opportunities for savings and improvements.
  14. Collaborate with Finance to meet inventory targets and ensure payment terms align with corporate goals.
