Regional Logistics Manager - MY & SGAbout the Role:
Brooks is a prominent leader in the semiconductor industry, known for our innovative technology and sustainable solutions. As part of our strategic expansion in Malaysia, we are seeking an experienced Regional Logistics Manager to oversee and streamline our supply chain operations and enhance distribution efficiency for our 3PL in Singapore.
The Regional L ogistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing all logistics operations & 3PL management to support our semiconductor equipment manufacturing processes. Applicants must have a robust background in logistics , ideally within the semiconductor equipment industry, demonstrating strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities. You will develop and implement logistics strategies that align with the overall business objectives , including cost reduction , efficiency improvements, and meeting customer demands.
Work Location: Onsite, Johor Bahru.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Shipping :
Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain delivery operations.
Manage all modes of transportation and optimize logistics.
C ollaborate with production, procurement , warehouse and sales to ensure materials availability for internal processing, and supply meets customer/ interco requirements , i.e. support expedites request or similar.
Negotiate contracts with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers to ensure that the most cost efficient and optimized lead-times are considered to support the business needs.
Ensure compliance with local, international, and industry-specific regulatory requirements and company policies, as well as developing risk management strategies and contingency plans.
Maintaining strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns, and implementing strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
Tracking and analyzing logistics performance metrics and implementing improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency ; analyzing logistics data and generating reports/ actionable insights and presenting findings to senior leadership.
Keeping costs within agreed budgets while not compromising on speed and efficiency.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce cost .
Understanding of logistics best practices, industry trends and regulations. L ead, train and develop the logistics team to achieve high performance that aligns with company goals and a t the same time b e able to raise the best in class, subject matter experts (SMEs) amongst the logistics team across Brooks sites .
Work with Supply Chain Management and the Warehouse Team to develop and implement JIT or Kanban replenishment strategies to minimize incoming freight expenses.
3PL management :
Build and maintain strong relationships with 3PL providers, acting as the main point of contact for operational matters.
Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) like order accuracy, on time delivery, and inventory levels to assess 3PL performance.
Identifying areas of improvements in operations and collaborating with providers to implement solutions.
Manage Order fulfillment processes & incoming materials, internal flows and finished goods shipping.
Ensure 3PL adhere to the quality standards and meet service level agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or other related field with 7-10 years of experience in logistics management, ideally within semiconductor or related high-tec h companies.
Experience wit h regional/global 3PL logistics management would be an added advantage.
Experience or past positions in a MNC organisation and with added experience in companies with Global presence would be a plus point.
Familiarity with local logistics and freight forwarders is a MUST.
Must have at least 5+ years of working in LMW organization s .
Proven track record of successful logistics strategy and execution .
Strong understanding of Malaysian and international shipping regulations and compliance standards which involves customs regulations and import/export laws.
Proficiency in analysing data to monitor performance, forecast needs, and make informed decisions using advanced logistics software/ERP to manage inventory levels, track shipments, and optimize routes.
Understanding budgeting, cost management, and financial factors is essential for making decisions balancing cost with service quality.
Team player with good interpersonal communication skills, able to work with all levels of management and stakeholders, a people person and a problem solver. A person who is self-driven and strives to improve work efficiencies.
Process-oriented with hands on experience with ERP applications (Oracle, SAP, WMS, Shop Floor applications) and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
