Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to maintain compliance and execute EHS programs across the ASEAN, Korea, ANZ region. You will reduce risk, provide technical EHS support, and lead regional initiatives within a global EHS framework.

You will work with the AKA Leadership team and GE's EHS global staff to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards, driving proactive safety and governance across sites and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an accredited EHS discipline.
• 5+ years overseeing the execution of EHS programs.
• 10+ years of EHS experience with working technical understanding of general H&S.
• Deep knowledge of GE's EHS programs and systems.
• Strong understanding of legal requirements related to EHS issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regional H&S compliance and support other EHS programs across operations.
• Develop, own and drive global EHS programs for the region.
• Identify, eliminate or mitigate EHS risks in H&S areas.
• Act as a thought-leader within the Health & Safety team across AKA.
• Provide expert knowledge on Health & Safety regulations and standards.

Job Description

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:

• Responsible for compliance throughout the region, specifically in the areas of H&S while supporting other Health & Safety programs of service operations, offices and other GEHC entities, including EHS support at sites and service operations that do not have dedicated EHS personnel
• Responsible for developing, owning, and driving global programs in the health and safety domain
• Identify, eliminate and/or mitigate EHS risks, particularly in H&S areas.
• Be a thought-leader and a key team member of the Health & Safety team along with other EHS team members across AKA
• Delivers in-depth knowledge of Health & Safety risks and regulations presented by all of GE's operations; serves as the H&S. expert for applicable regulatory and industry standard requirements
• Engage and leverage the Global H&S and Governance teams in the development of proactive solutions necessary to reduce future risk
• Serves as a coach and mentor to other EHS professionals and leadership team and to build the pipeline in the region
• Support services organizations and coordinate activities across AKA
• Be a subject matter expert to ensure appropriate technical and regulatory competency for EHS professionals and other operational employees
• Supports all other EHS tasks as assigned
• Aware of and complies with EHS Policies and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. Completes all planned EHS training within the defined deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; related EHS discipline.
• 5+ years overseeing the execution of EHS programs
• 10+ years of EHS experience with a working technical understanding of general H&S
• Deep knowledge of GE's EHS programs and systems
• Strong understanding of legal requirements associated with EHS issues

• Related EHS expertise outside of primary responsibility i.e. ,Electrical, PPE, Risk Assessment, Emergency Preparedness, radiation safety

• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with internal and external customers, and all levels of the organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to facilitate and conduct presentations with large and small groups
