Job Purpose

The Regional Deposit Manager plays a vital role in driving deposit product sales and contributing to the bank's revenue growth. They are responsible for promoting and selling various deposit products to both individual and corporate customers. The role involves developing and maintaining client relationships, identifying banking needs, and offering suitable deposit solutions in collaboration with other stakeholders to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  1. Drive Deposit Growth
    • Actively promote and sell deposit products to individuals and businesses.
    • Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities to maximize deposit sales.
    • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new deposit customers and increase the deposit base.
    • Develop and schedule sales proposals and activities, including calls to potential and existing clients, to ensure pipeline generation.
    • Follow up on sales activities to ensure closure, report to the Head of Deposit Sales, and ensure timely account openings.
    • Participate in sales events and roadshows where applicable.
    • Monitor competitors, market conditions, and conduct market research and surveys.
    • Conduct briefings and training for clients.
    • Solicit sales within their assigned area in a borderless manner.
  2. Product Knowledge
    • Develop a deep understanding of deposit products, including features, functionalities, and benefits, and stay updated on deposit campaigns.
  3. Compliance and Regulations
    • Ensure all activities and processes comply with relevant banking regulations and internal policies.
  4. Learning & Growth
    • Participate in special projects organized by Head Office.
    • Attend training on compliance, regulatory matters, product knowledge, customer service, and personal development.
    • Incorporate AFFINBANK’s DNA into all regional staff and uphold teamwork spirit.
    • Identify potential staff for succession planning.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Minimum degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field.
  2. At least 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Strong knowledge of deposit products, banking services, and financial concepts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Customer-centric with a focus on understanding and meeting customer needs.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations, including KYC and AML requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
