The Regional Accountant is a crucial role in the FMCG industry, responsible for overseeing the accounting & finance department. The position requires a detail-oriented, analytical individual with a strong background in accounting principles and practices.

Description

• Overseeing the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Providing financial advice and guidance to the management team
• Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures
• Coordinating with external auditors and managing internal controls
• Participating in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Identifying opportunities for financial improvement and cost reduction
• Training and mentoring junior accounting staff

Profile

A successful Regional Accountant should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations in Malaysia
• Experience in the FMCG industry would be advantageous
