Job summary

A leading company in Malaysia is looking for a Recruitment Executive to manage recruitment processes across all departments. The role involves interviewing, salary negotiations, and onboarding of new hires. Ideal candidates should possess strong English and Mandarin communication skills, a relevant degree, and experience in HR.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition.
  • Experience in conducting interviews and evaluating talent.
  • Good understanding of local labour laws in Malaysia.

Job description

Shortlist and interview candidates across all departments in consultation with Heads of Department (HOD).

Report recruitment progress and candidate recommendations to your supervisor regularly.

Conduct salary negotiations, prepare employment contracts, and issue offer and appointment letters — all subject to supervisor approval.

Facilitate structured onboarding for new hires, ensuring all required documentation is completed and submitted.

Guide new staff through Astra's orientation process to ensure a smooth integration into their roles.

Job Requirements

  • Strong written and spoken English and Mandarin, with good grammar
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in a Human Resources or Talent Acquisition role
  • Proven experience in conducting interviews, shortlisting candidates, and evaluating talent across various roles (e.g., tutor, marketing, operations)
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in leading interview sessions—both online and in person
  • Familiarity with offer negotiation processes, including salary benchmarking, preparing offer letters, and managing candidate expectations professionally
  • Good understanding of local labour laws and HR best practices in Malaysia
  • Ability to work independently, handle sensitive information with discretion, and maintain professionalism in fast-paced environments
  • Experience working in the education or training industry is a plus
  • Tech-savvy with experience using HR software, Google Workspace, and recruitment platforms like JobStreet, LinkedIn, or Indeed
