A leading sportswear company in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a detail-oriented Finance Executive to join its Controllership team. The role involves managing General Ledger processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 1-2 years of general accounting experience, and proficiency in Mandarin. We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Executive / Associate to join our Controllership team, focusing on Record to Report (RTR) operations. This role is ideal for individuals with a solid accounting foundation who are passionate about financial accuracy and process improvement. Fresh graduates with excellent academic performance are welcome to apply.
Manage and monitor General Ledger processes, including Reconciliations, Lease accounting, Month-end financial reporting and Inventory
Support month-end and year-end closing activities in compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external auditors to support audit requirements.
Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
Support finance-related communication in different markets where Mandarin is an advantage.
Prepare financial documents and correspondence in Mandarin, where required, ensuring high standards of written and verbal communication.
Take full ownership of assigned tasks and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1–2 years of experience in general accounting; fresh graduates with strong academic records are encouraged to apply.
Prior experience in an auditing firm is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in Mandarin (reading, writing, and speaking) is preferred to support Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to take ownership of responsibilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
