RC (Reverse Circulation) and Diamond Rig Driller

Operate and maintain RC and Diamond drilling rigs to extract core samples and conduct exploration drilling.

• Ensure accurate and efficient drilling to meet project targets and geological requirements.
• Monitor drilling parameters and adjust techniques to optimize performance and sample quality.
• Equipment Maintenance:
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on drilling rigs and associated equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct pre-start checks and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Promote a culture of safety among team members and contractors.
• Work closely with geologists, supervisors, and other team members to achieve drilling objectives.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior drillers and assistants.
• Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, including drill logs, equipment usage, and maintenance reports.
  • Report progress, challenges, and recommendations to supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and minimize the impact of drilling activities on the surrounding environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an RC and Diamond Rig Driller, preferably in gold mining or mineral exploration.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining RC and Diamond drilling rigs.
• Strong understanding of drilling techniques, geology, and sample recovery processes.
• Valid drilling certifications and licenses (if applicable).
• Ability to work in remote locations and challenging conditions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy equipment and working in extreme weather conditions.
• Willingness to work long hours and shifts as required.
