Job summary

SBM Offshore N.V. seeks an experienced RBI Team Lead to manage risk-based inspection activities for FPSO assets during Operations Readiness.

You will oversee the RBI program, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards across piping, pressure vessels, naval and mooring scopes. The role requires a mechanical engineering background, API 580/581 RBI certification, and at least 10 years in RBI with offshore FPSO experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; master's preferred.
• API 580/581 RBI certification or equivalent practical RBI experience required.
• Minimum 10 years in RBI with oil & gas, FPSO experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead RBI team across Piping, Pressure Vessels, Naval and Mooring scopes for FPSOs.
• Develop, tailor, and implement RBI methodologies and inspection strategies.
• Deliver RBI solutions within project deadlines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate with external contractors, manage resources, and train junior staff.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analyses related to equipment failures.
