A leading telecommunications company in Malaysia is seeking a RAN Service Delivery Specialist to ensure the stability and performance of its Radio Access Network. This role involves monitoring network operations, collaborating with partners for maintenance, and adhering to regulatory standards while driving innovation in mobile technologies. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering fields and have a minimum of 3 years' experience in RAN operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field required.
  • Experience with multi-vendor RAN systems (Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson) highly valued.
  • Technical certifications in RAN technologies considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure seamless operation of the RAN infrastructure, monitoring performance and resolving faults.
  • Collaborate with service partners for preventive maintenance.
  • Lead root cause analysis of service-affecting incidents.

Ensure seamless operation and performance stability of the Radio Access Network (RAN) infrastructure across designated networks. Responsible govern on the monitoring, maintenance, fault resolution, upgrade implementation, and overall health of RAN systems to meet network KPIs, SLAs, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure network availability and performance by actively monitoring the RAN systems, responding to alarms, and escalating issues to relevant teams/partners/vendors.
  • Govern and liaise with manage service partner for the preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure continuous operation of BTS, NodeB, eNodeB, Femto and gNodeB equipment.
  • Collaborate with planning and optimization teams to ensure parameter tuning and upgrades that improve coverage, quality, and capacity.
  • Supervise and support field teams and vendors during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting tasks, ensuring compliance with procedures and safety regulations.
  • To ensure network software and hardware upgrades, site migrations, and feature activations in line with network evolution strategy.
  • Liaise with NOC, transmission & core teams for resolution of service-affecting incidents and performance degradation.
  • Ensure RAN compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., MCMC, OSHA) and corporate policies on health, safety, and environment.
  • Track, govern and report KPI trends, lead conduct root cause analysis of outages, and propose improvements based on data insights.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of RAN sites, equipment configurations, acceptance reports, and maintenance records.
  • Govern & conduct periodic audits and readiness checks for disaster recovery, emergency fallback, and redundancy scenarios.
  • Govern & ensure equipments healths, duration supports, inventory and spare parts, ensuring critical components are available for supports on a timely workframe.
  • Contribute and propose innovative ideas for automation and mechanisms, including AI-driven solutions and user friendly platform/dashboard enhancements to enhance support and track daily operational RAN/network activities.
  • Owner and track every vendor/OEM contract, monthly health check assessment reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Additional technical courses and certifications in mobile/RAN technologies (e.g., 5G NR, vendor-specific RAN training) will be an added advantage.
  • At least 3 year(s) working experience RAN operations, network engineering, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-vendor RAN systems (Huawei, ZTE, Ericsson).
  • Knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies, protocols, and architecture.
  • Experience in sites maintenance, telecommunication industry or network operation will be added advantages.
