Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a motivated radiography assistant to perform x-ray duties across sections, assist doctors in image interpretation, and ensure radiation safety for staff and patients. You will handle front desk tasks, patient registration, scheduling, and maintain confidential medical records.

Qualifications

• Carry out radiographic duties in all sections.
• Assist doctor in interpretation of x-ray images.

• Participate in audits and QA procedures.
• Transmit reports to MERTS as required.
• Perform front desk duties: patient registration & scheduling.

Responsibilities

• To carry out all radiographic duties in all sections.
• To assist doctor in interpretation of x-ray images and transmit the x-ray images to Radiologist via Teleradiology if necessary.
• To act in a responsible way in matters of radiation protection for staff and patients.
• To ensure that x-ray regulations are complied with.
• To contribute effectively to the delivery of an efficient and responsive Radiology Service.
• To take part in audit activities as and when required, prepare documents for submission Annual Quality Assurance Procedure and X-ray license renewal.
• To transmit the report of laboratory and X-Ray on Foreign worker's medical examination results into MERTS (Fomema).
• To perform front desk duties and attend to patient care such as; patient registration and scheduling appointments.
• To secure patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safe guarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
• To maintains safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and complying with medical regulations and professional standards.
• To helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance.

• To assist doctor in interpretation of x-ray images and transmit the x-ray images to Radiologist via Teleradiology if necessary.

• To undertake any other duties as directed by the Immediate Supervisor and Management as and when required.
• To assist in maintaining supplies ready by inventory record – monitoring stock levels, placing orders of medicine, store and sort medicine, checking medicine expiry date, involve in stock-take and etc.
• To handle incoming enquiries via phone calls, text messages and emails promptly.
• To liaise with other staff to assist in the performing triage & basic examination procedure, as well as continuity of patient care, and dispensing the medication as prescribed by doctor.
• To assist in scanning and attaching necessary documents regarding pre-employment & health screening, ultrasound and etc.
