RIGOL TECHNOLOGIES (MALAYSIA) Sdn. Bhd. in Bayan Lepas, Penang, seeks an R&D Software Application Engineer to design and validate software for our instrument portfolio and conformance test solutions.

You will contribute across the product life cycle, implement automation scripts, apply AI-assisted workflows, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve measurement accuracy and repeatability.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Final-year students and recent graduates are welcome to apply.
• Solid foundation in software engineering and proficiency in Python, C#, or C++.
• Ability to work with customers and stakeholders and communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Hands-on experience with test and measurement instruments or automated testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test and measurement application software and conformance/test software.
• Translate complex specifications into executable test methods and algorithms.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, C#, or C++ and improve test frameworks.
• Apply AI-assisted workflows to improve coding efficiency and test coverage.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Software QA, Learning Products, and Technical Support across the lifecycle.
