Job summary

Keysight Technologies in Penang, Malaysia, seeks an FPGA/ electronics design engineer to contribute to advanced product development. You will design components, write HDL code, and co-develop testable hardware in collaboration with the design team.

The role requires a degree in electrical/electronics/computer engineering and experience with FPGA design, HDL coding and simulation tools. A proactive, learning mindset and teamwork are valued attributes in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or the equivalent.
• Preferably >1 year of relevant experience in FPGA/electronics design.
• Preferably experience in FPGA/ASIC design and system-level implementation.
• Preferably experience in VHDL/Verilog coding, logic simulation, synthesis and familiar with Xilinx Vivado/ISE or Altera Quartus, Modelsim and Synplify Pro.
• Good knowledge of basic electronic and system design, test and validation using test equipment and problem-solving skills.
• Teamwork, eager to learn, passionate and forward-thinking.

Responsibilities

• Develops FPGA code, performs simulation/synthesis and implements hardware solutions.

• Develops FPGA codes, perform simulation/synthesis and implement the FPGA hardware solution into the electronic system
• Performs characterization and testing of design prototypes, analyze and validate the design to meet product performance specifications.
• Participate in technical discussion, design review, planning and decision making.
• Constantly on the search to innovate, promote efficiency and learning new technologies to increase competency.
