Job summary

Keysight Technologies in Malaysia is seeking a FPGA/electronics design engineer with a strong foundation in electrical, electronics or computer engineering. You will design products, specify components, and develop FPGA subsystems, working with project teams to meet design objectives.

The role involves coding in VHDL/Verilog, sim/synth, and implementing FPGA solutions, plus testing prototypes and participating in design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Masters in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or the equivalent.
• Preferably >1 year of relevant FPGA/electronics design experience.
• Preferably experience in FPGA/ASIC design and system-level implementation.
• Preferably experience in VHDL/Verilog coding, simulation, synthesis, and familiar with Xilinx Vivado/ISE or Altera Quartus, Modelsim and Synplify Pro.
• Good knowledge of basic electronic and system design, test and validation using test equipment.
• Teamwork, eagerto learn, passionate and forward-thinking.

Responsibilities

• Works with the project design teamto understand design requirements, to meet the project objectives for FPGA subsystems and interconnections.
• Evaluates and selects suitable FPGA solutions with optimized speed, size and cost to meet the design requirements.
• Develops FPGA codes, perform simulation/synthesis and implement the FPGA hardware solution into the electronic system
• Performs characterization and testing of design prototypes, analyze and validate the design to meet product performance specifications.
• Participate in technical discussion, design review, planning and decision making.
• Constantly on the search to innovate, promote efficiency and learning new technologies to increase competency.
