Responsibilities

Keysight Calibration Engineering develops calibration software and provides software support for global customer service centers. We encourage innovation and leveraging new technology to differentiate ourselves from competitors.

We are seeking a motivated R&D software engineer to join our Engineering team to develop calibration software, update legacy calibration software to meet industry standards or customer requirements, and collaborate with worldwide service centers to enhance customer service experience.

The ideal candidate will possess deep test and measurement domain knowledge and strong software development skills.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop instrument calibration software for customer service centers worldwide, utilizing Keysight's product lifecycle.
• Enhance calibration applications to meet new requirements.
• Design models used in measurement procedures and instrument drivers supporting automated computation of measurement uncertainties.
• Create support documentation for calibration applications.
• Maintain and support calibration applications ongoingly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with software exposure, Computer Science with knowledge of electrical/electronic engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with advanced Object-Oriented design.
• Proven Windows programming experience and knowledge of operating systems.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft .NET and C# programming.
• Understanding of the product development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of contemporary software design methodologies and programming techniques.
• Knowledge of RF and microwave measurements and test equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with diverse groups of customers and designers.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment including hardware, software, and manufacturing teams.
• Experience working with multi-site developers in a virtual team environment.
• Self-motivated with a desire to make a difference.

Preferred Skills:

• ISO17025 knowledge.
• Experience in T&M calibration, metrology, or measurement uncertainty.
