About the role
We are seeking an experienced R&D Chemist to join our dynamic team at Sakata Inx (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in our Shah Alam, Selangor office. As an R&D Chemist, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and developing new products that cater to the evolving needs of our customers. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for growth and development within our organization.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct in-depth research and development of new chemical products and formulations
  • Perform analytical testing and quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of product quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify market trends and customer needs
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and optimization of laboratory experiments and protocols
  • Document research findings, analyse data, and prepare comprehensive reports
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, safety protocols, and best practices
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the production and sales teams

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an R&D Chemist or in a similar role
  • Proficient in the use of analytical equipment, such as spectrophotometers, chromatographs, and titrators
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, safety protocols, and quality management systems
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
