A crucial role in maintaining product consistency and preventing defects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure products meet established quality standards through testing, analysis and documentation.
- Perform routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process products and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate and complete laboratory reports and records, ensuring proper documentation.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and precision through calibration maintenance and regular checks.
- Work closely with various teams, mainly manufacturing and quality assurance teams, to maintain product quality and resolve quality-related issues as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of quality control laboratory area.
- Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes and procedures.
- Response to internal customer inquiries concerning quality-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality standards, regulations and company policies.
- Identify, troubleshoot, analyze and issue resolutions for quality-related problems as required.
- Perform other related/unrelated duties as assigned by superior, including long-term and short-term projects/tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in any science field preferably in Chemistry or with foundation in chemistry.
- Preferably with practical experience in laboratory techniques and quality control procedures.
- Fresh graduates with experience in laboratory will be considered.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Good analytical, reporting, problem-solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow SOP, work under minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Knowledge and understanding of analytical instruments and equipment (e.g. FT-IR, GC etc..) will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (such as ISO, Six Sigma..) is a plus.
- Ability to work in laboratory and production environments.
- Basic to intermediate computer literacy is required.
