Summary

This role is for a Quality Inspector responsible for ensuring products meet quality standards throughout the manufacturing process, from in-process QC inspection to Final QC inspection. The inspector will perform cosmetic, visual, and mechanical inspections, meticulously documenting findings and rejecting non-compliant products. A key aspect of the role is to proactively communicate quality concerns and defects to production supervisors and management, initiating corrective/preventive actions as needed.

Detailed Description
  • Perform inspection on products across the two stages of production (in-process and final) to ensure quality levels are met
  • Duty to perform the cosmetic visual mechanical inspection on all produced products within the required duration.
  • A quality inspector monitors the quality of in-process and outgoing products in production.
  • Document inspection outcomes in the specified systems and daily performance records.
  • Perform regular quality assessments on all spare orders and ship along with parts for shipping.
  • Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
  • Read Customer and Internal cosmetic, workmanship specifications to understand the requirements of products.
  • Follow the Inspection checklist during the inspection.
  • Feedback and communicate defects to the production supervisor to avoid similar defects from Technicians.
  • Raised Quality Alert through email on the findings for Internal Corrective /Preventive Action issuance.
  • Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Participating in quality audits and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain inspection reports
  • Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency
  • Reporting to Superior on any escalation and concerns.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
  • High passion for Process & Equipment engineering and willingness to learn
  • Proficiency in using various inspection and measuring tools (callipers, micrometres, gauges, etc).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey findings, issues, and recommendations to various stakeholders (production, engineering, management).
  • Interpersonal skills: Good team player, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High passion for quality, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands

Typical Experience: One to two years of relevant experience in the outgoing inspection or manufacturing.

Typical Education
  • Preferably Diploma fresh graduate in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering with CGPA 2.80 and above
