About the role

The primary role of Quality System Executive is to oversee the whole spectrum of quality and food safety systems in ensuring effective systems in place. This involves all aspects of the systems including verification through internal and external audits. The Quality System Executive will deal with both product performance and plant performance concerning to quality and food safety.


The Quality System Executive is reporting to Quality Manager. He/she shall assist Quality Manager in monitoring the gmp and food safety of the emulsifier plant and provide guidance/advice on emulsifier plant operations where necessary.

The Quality System Executive is expected to develop and maintain Quality/Food Safety Management System. He/she should also have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a matrix organization. He/she must keep abreast with the latest version of the quality and food safety standards as well as the statutory requirement.

Reporting to : Food Safety and Quality Manager

Key responsibilities

The Quality System Executive will support the goals and programs established by the management team to continually improve through analytical ability, problem solving and decision skills to plan and co-ordinate supply chain to achieve high customer service. Included in the roles and responsibilities of the Quality System Executive are:

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s Quality / Food safety Management System.
  • Overseeing the Quality Assurance function in investigation, analyse and execute any quality matters related to customer / supplier.
  • Organize the preparation during internal audit, external audit, customer audit, management review and other related matters to ensure the company operations comply with the management system standards
  • Co-ordinate and actively participate in cross functional groups to develop, implement, maintain, and review policies, procedures, standards, forms and templates.
  • Maintain the document in intelex system, coordinate and solve the issue related to intelex system.
  • Handle customer's complaints and ensure complaints are well addressed.
  • Conduct self-inspection for GMP / Food safety, raise the finding to PIC and follow up on the closure
  • Perform any other duties from time to time as requested by superior
Qualifications and skills
  • Quality System Executive should be in possession of a B.S. degree in chemistry / food science from a recognized university.
  • Have a minimum of two year work experience in quality assurance of a chemical or related process industry.
    Must have knowledge on ISO 9001 [QMS] and with FSSC 22000, HACCP and GMP exposure will be an advantage.
  • Should be able to express ideas effectively in both individual and group situations. In addition, he/she should be able to organize and express ideas clearly in written documents. In both situations, the Quality System Executive should be able to adjust his/her language and terminology to the needs of the audience. He/she should be able to listen to and understand customer needs. In addition, he/she should be able to anticipate customer needs and give a high priority to customer satisfaction.
