Role Summary:

We are seeking a Lean Six Sigma advocate to support global quality operational excellence and digitization efforts aimed at increasing efficiency and enhancing quality. The role involves driving a proactive quality approach across Tier 1 suppliers, focusing on reducing product and process variation and achieving zero quality defects, utilizing Lean Six Sigma, Industry 4.0, and an operational excellence framework within a Tier 1 extended team model.

Responsibilities:

  • Possession of industry certifications, advanced problem-solving skills, and Six Sigma Black Belt recognition is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Python, Power BI, Microsoft Office tools, JIRA, Agile, SharePoint, and other database systems.
  • Strong knowledge of IoT, Lean Six Sigma, Industry 4.0, Generative AI, automation, and manufacturing technologies to drive world-class quality performance at Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Designing and monitoring business and operational processes to support quality metrics and continuous improvement.
  • Acting as an advisor to junior technicians and engineers, providing guidance on operational excellence.
  • Completing relevant audit or Lean Six Sigma training as required.
  • Collecting and analyzing data, understanding key quality metrics, and creating visual reports to inform decision-making. Developing ad hoc reports and presenting findings to management, including senior leaders.
  • Participating in training and mentoring technicians and engineers.
  • Representing the unit on project teams, potentially leading projects of significant scope and impact.
  • Assisting in schedule building and providing input on budgets.
  • Resolving complex problems requiring development of procedures and processes.
  • Networking with key contacts across organizational boundaries and interacting with management and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrating advanced understanding of Lean Six Sigma, IoT, Industry 4.0, and proactive quality initiatives.
  • Conducting data analysis and visualization using Python or Power BI, integrating data from Jira, Agile, and SharePoint for reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience.
  • Specific education and training in quality disciplines required.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of job-related and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Six Sigma training or similar certification strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and effective communication and collaboration abilities.
