Job description

DescriptionsKPMG Delivery Network (KDN) in Malaysia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced process and delivery excellence professional with experience in Tax and legal organizations to join our team as a Quality Manager.
This role requires understanding and experience of :
  1. Process analysis and process definition. The person should be able to value stream the existing process, identify efficiency and opportunities of improvement and define a desired process flow with higher efficiency.
  2. Quality KPIs for Tax and Legal solutions. An experience around identifying, defining analysis of the various performance metrics. Knowledge of statistical methods to analyse and benchmark the metrics will be required.
  3. Quality Reviews / Quality Audits / Quality Improvement councils as a governance channel for effective monitoring and control of compliance and efficiency.
  4. A proven track record of delivering high-quality client service. You will not be directly responsible for client delivery but will be a crucial in governance to ensure client satisfaction. This will involve working closely with KDN delivery teams, KPMG member firms, and central quality teams to drive quality centric continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. Continuous improvement methodologies like Lean , Six Sigma, Kaizen .
  6. Owner of ISO 9001 audits, and active support and coordination of ISO 20k and 27K audits. 7. Quality trainings, and other trainings based on needs 8. Working with risk management policies & procedures to be the focal in KDN MY delivery centre at ensuring compliance is safeguarded.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities of the role:
  1. Conduct thorough assessments of existing processes, systems, and products to identify gaps and areas for quality improvement.
  2. Facilitate workshops and training sessions for client staff, building their internal capabilities in quality assurance and continuous improvement methodologies.
  3. Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations, and the impact of implemented quality initiatives.
  4. Act as a subject matter expert, advising clients on root cause analysis for quality deviations and developing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  5. Working with management to set quality expectations and goals (manage the quality framework in place)
  6. Compiling and presenting statistical data for management reviews
  7. Collaborate with all levels of the organization to ensure the implementation of quality initiatives

  • Highly intelligent “business operator” with a demonstrated ability to rapidly understand the big picture, identify levels required to impact tactical change, and then dig into to the details to drive those levels
  • High attention to detail, when required, with ability to communicate clearly and concisely

Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in compliance, taxation, and financial analysis
  • Experience as a process excellence or delivery excellence professional
  • Experience in managing quality, implementing quality controls , quality KPIs
  • Good change management skills
  • Experience in data analysis or business analysis is valued. Knowledge of statistical tools
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, CMMI , ITIL
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary professionals
  • Accountable, analytical, self-motivated, and organized
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for problem-solving and finding solutions to client needs
  • Highly goal-oriented, assertive, and hands-on approach to problem-solving
