About the Role
A Quality Manager is responsible in overseeing all aspects of quality assurance, ensure quality department meet the KPI’s & ensure products meet customer standards and regulatory requirements (ISO 9001, etc).
Job Description
- Quality Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement quality control policies, procedures, and standards to meet customer requirements and industry standards (such as ISO 9001). This includes setting up quality goals and KPIs.
- Process Control and Monitoring: Oversee in-process quality controls, to ensure consistent product quality during molding operations. Work closely with production to monitor and control key quality parameters, and establish procedures for when defects are identified.
- Customer and Audit Compliance: Ensure compliance with all customer specific requirements, handle external and internal audits, and oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) following audit findings or customer complaints.
- Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving: Investigate quality issues or customer complaints through tools like 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone diagrams. Implement root cause solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Training and Development: Train and support the quality team, production team and other staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and defect identification to maintain quality at all production stages.
- Customer Interaction and Support: Act as the primary contact for quality-related customer issues, coordinating responses and keeping customers informed on corrective actions and improvements.
- Quality System Maintenance: Maintain and improve the quality management system (QMS), ensuring it meets industry standards and adapts to changes.
- Product Quality Improvement: Coordinate with departments on quality improvements, oversee audits, and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Risk & Resource Management: Review resources, manage risks, and ensure the integrity of the QMS during operational changes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify improvement opportunities, enhance procedures, and establish requirements for materials and products.
- Team Leadership & Development: Train, evaluate, and support the quality team, providing clear KPIs and motivating staff for high-quality performance. Regularly monitor, review, and appraise team progress toward achieving quality goals
Qualification & Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years working experience in relevant field, preferably in manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO14001.
- Must have experience in Plastic Injection.
- Ability to perform audit.
- Ability to control, supervise, train and lead the quality team.
- Ability to prepare, compile and file all quality documentation.
- Basic knowledge in Quality Tool and problem solving
