Role Description

The Quality Lead plays a critical role in driving excellence across the Quality function, leading a team of Quality Coordinators, and ensuring consistent adherence to internal processes and country-specific employment regulations. This position is accountable for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of data across key business systems, which directly contributes to performance across profitability, service levels, and stakeholder satisfaction.

As a core member of the Commercial Operations function, the Quality Lead is expected to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, acting as a strategic business partner. The role places strong emphasis on developing a deep understanding of all operational areas within the Asia Pacific region and ensuring business continuity. Additionally, the Quality Lead will play a central role in enhancing the capability of the Commercial Operations team by supporting the development of cross-functional skill sets—spanning Bids, Sales, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Process Improvement.

This position reports to the Commercial Operations Director and works in close partnership with the Senior Leadership Team (Asia Pacific) and the Group Quality Manager.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Champion Quality Objectives across the Asia Pacific region, promoting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee regional execution and maintenance of global accreditations such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and ISO 45001.
  • Ensure compliance with Group, Regional, and Local policies affecting the Quality function and internal standards.
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, Finance, Insurance, and Safety SMEs to document, monitor, and align country-specific compliance requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Quality Coordinators, ensuring high accuracy and consistent application of QA/QC best practices.
  • Drive measurable process improvements and risk mitigation initiatives, including change management and certification readiness.
  • Manage documentation control, audits, and implementation of corrective actions to ensure audit readiness and quality system efficiency.
  • Support Country Managers and Operations teams on client compliance matters, statutory requirements, and commercial risk mitigation.
  • Contribute to knowledge management systems and provide regional offices with operational best practice guidance.
  • Facilitate alignment between departments—including Sales—on quality objectives and strategic business goals.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Draft, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Interpret and apply quality assurance standards; evaluate their adequacy and effectiveness.
  • Devise sampling procedures and set directions for recording/reporting quality data.
  • Review the implementation and efficiency of quality systems.
  • Document internal audits and quality assurance activities.
  • Investigate client, assignee, and contractor complaints or non-conformance issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and propose performance improvement strategies.
  • Collect and compile statistical quality data.
  • Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare and present reports on quality activities and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with SMEs (HR, Legal, HSE, Finance) to ensure compliance across regions.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  • Report on HSE, Safety, and ESG metrics, including corrective or suggested actions.
  • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate follow-up measures.
  • Monitor risk management activities and ensure business continuity planning.
  • Administer document management systems and maintain quality documentation.
  • Manage client, assignee, and consultant surveys; consolidate and report data to SVPs and Global Ops.
  • Review and approve Bullhorn placements, change requests, etc., in line with global and local quality control policies.
  • Oversee training needs and coordinate training interventions for quality standards.
  • Support the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for the region and maintain country-specific addendums.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Recognized certifications (e.g., Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Six Sigma, Quality Improvement Associate) preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic quality plans.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, process improvement, and performance management.
  • Proven leadership experience managing remote or multi-country teams.
  • Effective communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Hands-on experience with quality inspection, auditing, and corrective action programs.
  • Familiarity with service/industry-specific QA practices and legislative requirements.
  • Knowledge of CRM tools (e.g., Bullhorn) and QA methodologies.
  • Ability to understand complex contract models across global regions.
  • Willingness to step in and support operational delivery directly when required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong numerical and statistical acumen.
  • High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
