Job summary

Petron Malaysia Refining & Marketing Bhd in Port Dickson is seeking a dynamic Laboratory Technician to perform quality testing of process streams and finished products, record results accurately, and maintain laboratory data according to ISO/IEC 17025.

The role requires an SPM with strong science credits, 3–5 years laboratory experience, good English and Bahasa Malaysia, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work in a shift cycle at the Port Dickson Refinery.

Qualifications

• SPM qualification with strong credits in Science subjects (Chemistry/Math).
• 3–5 years of laboratory-related experience preferred.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing to ensure quality of process streams, finished products and discharged waste.
• Record, document and maintain all test results and data accurately.
• Handle, label, store and retain samples per laboratory procedures.
• Review results against targets and communicate deviations.
• Maintain reagents, calibration of equipment and QC reports.
• Ensure Laboratory Quality Management System compliance (ISO/IEC 17025).
• Monitor safety and housekeeping in the lab.
