Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to work for an international manufacturing company supplying components to the Aerospace industry. The Quality Inspector will work the night shift providing Quality and Inspection support and will develop the Right First-Time philosophy. If you have previous experience of Mechanical Inspection gained in the Aerospace or similar industry, then we want to hear from you.

What's on offer:

  • Salary £48,000 pa including shift + paid overtime
  • Monday-Thursday 7.30pm - 4.30am, Friday 2.30pm - 7.30pm
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain quality control within the manufacturing process
  • Check and verify the compliance of components produced at all stages
  • Perform First article inspection and non-conformance procedures
  • Support and promote continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing processes
  • Work within cross-functional teams to support the business
  • Complete First offs and batch work

Skills & Experience:

  • Must have an engineering background with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Technical knowledge within the aerospace sector is preferred but not essential
  • Competent in use of verniers, micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges, and DTI (Digital Test Indicators)
  • Experience in a quality control environment working to ISO9001
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision with excellent attention to detail
  • CMM experience would be an advantage
  • Must have practical problem-solving skills
