AT&S AUSTRIA TECHNOLOGIE & SYSTEMTECHNIK (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. seeks an Imaging Quality Engineer to drive yield improvements in the production area, ensuring process efficiency and product quality.
You will assess deviations, implement containment and corrective actions, and establish robust measurement systems. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Quality and Six Sigma with hands-on QMS experience (ISO 9001/ISO 14001).
Drive yield improvement initiatives within the production area to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
Assess potential impacts and risks arising from product deviations and implement appropriate containment and corrective actions.
Define and establish necessary measurement systems and quality controls to ensure and continuously improve product quality.
Serve as the second-level authority for decisions on product blocking, release, scrap, or rework in cases of potential defects.
Serve as the second-level authority for decisions on process blocking or release when potential product quality risks are identified.
Represent and advocate customer requirements within the production area to ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
Achieve agreed annual operational and quality performance targets.
Ensure the proper qualification and validation of new base materials, equipment, processes, and tools before implementation.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and drive the application of advanced and systematic problem-solving methodologies.
Prepare, analyze, and communicate quality reports to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Imaging Quality Engineering team.
Champion and drive the proliferation of the PCS culture and principles within the Imaging Quality Engineering team.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline. Experience in a relevant manufacturing industry is preferred. Six Sigma certification and practical application experience would be an added advantage.
Extensive knowledge of quality standards and quality management systems. Hands-on experience in the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of QMS frameworks such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 is preferred.
Strong technical expertise in imaging processes, with a solid understanding of ICS processes and quality control methodologies.
Ability to effectively represent the company in interactions with external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive quality improvements and manage risks effectively.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams and promote a quality‑focused culture.
