Qualifications

Our Client

We are partnering with a Shanghai based company that specializes in manufacturing of medical equipment. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Quality Engineer as part of their strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee quality checkpoints at all stages—raw material intake, production, and final product inspection.
• Develop inspection guidelines and procedures while training quality control personnel to ensure consistent execution.
• Investigate quality issues arising during production, identify root causes, and support corrective/preventive actions.
• Drive compliance by enforcing internal quality protocols and collecting performance data for analysis and improvement.
• Compile and submit regular quality reports to the parent company or regional HQ.
• Carry out additional tasks or quality-related assignments as directed by leadership.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Holds a diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, polymer science, medical technology, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control function; experience in a cleanroom or aseptic medical device environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and GMP standards and how they apply to medical manufacturing.
• Open to short-term travel, including visits to company sites in Shanghai for training or coordination meetings.
