Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a leading electronics and materials manufacturer in Johor to hire a Quality Engineer. You will own the full lifecycle of quality assurance and work across engineering, production, and vendors to uphold performance and compliance benchmarks.

The role requires 2–5 years of hands-on quality engineering in a manufacturing setting (E&E or semiconductor preferred) and fluent Mandarin to liaise with key stakeholders. This is a full-time on-site position in Johor.

Qualifications

• Degree in an Engineering field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on quality engineering experience in manufacturing (E&E or Semiconductor background advantageous).
• Strong proficiency in core quality tools and methodologies.
• Fluent in Mandarin to facilitate effective communication with key business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of project quality assurance to guarantee that all products hit performance and compliance benchmarks.
• Anticipate potential quality roadblocks early, deploy preventative measures, and champion ongoing factory-floor improvements.
• Evaluate and report on key performance indicators (such as parts per million, scrap rates, and field failures) to meet company quality goals.
• Partner with engineering, production, and external vendors to streamline workflows and permanently eliminate manufacturing defects.
• Spearhead structured troubleshooting investigations (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) and serve as a key point of contact for client and internal quality audits.
