Celestica Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Analyst to perform defect detection via line inspections and testing, ensuring final gate quality before product release. The role emphasizes adherence to ISO 9001/14001, IPC standards, and Six Sigma/Lean Kaizen methodologies.
You will analyze KPIs and drive improvements across NPI to mass production, coordinating investigations and change actions with cross-functional teams.
The Quality Analyst is responsible for product-oriented defect detection by running line inspections, operating testing equipment, and evaluating sample outputs against technical specifications. The role focuses on managing final gate inspection to ensure no defects reach customers, executing changes based on customer requirements, managing customer complaints, and monitoring quality KPIs aligned with corporate and customer standards.
Key responsibilities
Conduct line inspections and operate testing equipment to detect defects and evaluate sample outputs against technical specifications
Manage final gate inspection to ensure no product escapees to customers
Train staff on customer requirement changes and their execution
Manage customer complaints and work on improvements to prevent recurrence
Monitor quality KPIs aligned with corporate and customer requirements
Handle quality excursions, take effective actions, and follow proper escalation procedures
Initiate 8D or investigation reports and coordinate with focal persons to prevent product non-conformity during production runs
Support and follow up product and material quality from NPI to mass production, including IP (Inspection Plan) and WI (Work Instruction)
Ensure New Product Buy-off is initiated as per customer requirements and audit inspection/rescreen is carried out as per procedure
Analyze, monitor, and report quality KPIs including RFPY, OBA, RMA, DPQL, customer feedback, LRR, RI Flag, and WWQA
About you
At least 2 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment, quality management, and internal quality auditing
Knowledge of quality tools, ISO and IPC standards, and manufacturing processes
Understanding of quality tools such as FMEA, PMP, SPC, and 8D methodology
Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean Kaizen
Knowledge of software for generating reports, capturing data, and presenting data in understandable format
Experience in handling sampling size selection and quality inspections
Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Good attitude, communication, and coordination skills
