In this role, you’ll take ownership of quality assurance processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the highest levels of product reliability and performance.

If you’re an analytical thinker with a keen eye for quality and a passion for driving results, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Control

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality standards, inspection procedures, and testing protocols for assembled consumer goods.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis on defective products and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Monitor assembly line performance and ensure full compliance with established quality specifications and standards.
  • Proactively identify areas for quality improvement and champion solutions that drive product excellence.

Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional production teams to optimize assembly processes, minimize waste, and boost operational efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Utilize advanced quality management tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies to analyze data and implement improvements.

Testing & Validation

  • Design and oversee comprehensive testing procedures (e.g., durability, functionality, safety) to validate product performance and ensure quality consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001 or ISO 13485) and any customer-specific requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports.
  • Prepare comprehensive quality metrics and performance reports for management review and customer audits.

Supplier & Material Quality

  • Collaborate with suppliers to verify that raw materials and components consistently meet stringent quality specifications.
  • Conduct supplier audits and proactively resolve quality issues related to incoming materials to ensure consistent quality from the source.

Training & Collaboration

  • Train and mentor assembly line staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices, fostering a culture of quality awareness.
  • Work alongside design, engineering, and production teams to proactively address quality concerns during product development and manufacturing stages.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards applicable to consumer goods (e.g., FDA, CE, RoHS).
  • Stay updated on changing regulations and implement necessary compliance measures.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field) or equivalent experience.

Experience: 2 - 5 years of proven experience in quality engineering, preferably within consumer goods manufacturing or assembly environments.

Skills:

  • Proficiency with quality tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, 8D problem-solving).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and materials used in consumer goods.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 or ISO 13485).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving challenges.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English, Malay, and Mandarin.
