As a Quality Engineer at a leading automotive and industrial company, you will ensure product quality through collaborative documentation, root-cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. What you can look forward to as a Quality Engineer:
Collaborate with operations to create comprehensive procedural documentation for the shop floor, including Control Plans, Quality Standards, Work Instructions, and Standard Work.
Evaluate engineering design, tooling, and work processes to determine strategies and programs that ensure acceptable product quality.
Drive and coordinate with operations to establish root-cause analysis and corrective actions to improve process quality performance using systematic approaches such as 8D.
Monitor in-process and outgoing inspection activities and authorize sorting and rework of nonconforming parts/products.
Review manufacturing process yield and coordinate process studies and capability assessments.
Assist with the development and implementation of corrective measures (8D) resulting from customer and warranty concerns.
Authorize the holding of suspected nonconforming parts/products, stop the line if nonconformity is detected, and coordinate for line resumption.
Your Profile as Distribution and Quality Engineer:
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Automotive (Mechanical or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment and knowledge of quality tools.
Possess knowledge of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, FARO, CMMs.
Extensive experience in Root Cause Analysis and Concern Management techniques e.g., 8D, 3X5 Whys, Six Sigma.
Knowledge of problem-solving and quality engineering methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), statistical techniques like Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R), and Process Capability studies (SPC, CPK).
Qualified internal auditor for ISO9001 or ISO14001 or process audit VDA.
Lead or coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver timely solutions to improve product quality.
Able to manage complex issues under time and cost pressures.
