1. Train and guide subordinates and team members on all quality-related affairs.
2. Manage daily quality inspections for all incoming materials, in-process goods, and finished products in line with established quality standards.
3. Report failures, investigate all operational non-conformances, and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with relevant specifications, regulations, and standards.
4. Continuously review, evaluate, improve, and implement our quality and food safety management systems to comply with the latest standards, regulatory requirements, and to meet company targets.
5. Liaise with customers on special labelling requirements and communicate customers' needs to related operational units within the organization.
6. Manage and maintain product printing requirements in compliance with customer requirements and the latest food regulations of Malaysia and/or importing countries.
7. Collaborate with Production and R&D teams to ensure the quality of finished goods meets stringent in-house standards and customer requirements.
8. Supervise subordinates to ensure task completion, regularly coach and guide them, and review their performance.
9. Monitor the achievement of set KPIs regularly, conduct root cause analysis, and suggest improvements for non-achievements.
10. Support the GMP program, including routine checks on all factory staff.
11. Identify training needs and organize training sessions to meet quality and food safety standards.
12. Organize sampling for laboratory tests, compile data, analyze, and report systematically.
13. Plan and execute maintenance schedules for QMS and FSMS activities such as periodic verification, pest control, and calibration of equipment.
14. Support R&D and production activities.
15. Responsible for supporting and implementing other QMS, FSMS, HAMS, and Health and Safety MS as required.
16. Perform other functions and duties as assigned by higher authorities.
Requirements:
- Degree in Food Science and Technology or equivalent.
- At least three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in English and Malay.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and statistical skills.
- Effective communication skills with suppliers, customers, and internal staff (local and foreign workers).
- Understanding of Basic Principles of Food Hygiene (GMP, GHP), HACCP, Food Act and Regulations, Food Labelling, Sampling Procedures.
- Experience with Food Safety Management Systems such as ISO 22000, MS 1500, MS 1480, and MS 1514.
- Systematic approach to documentation and record keeping.
- Organized, resourceful, team player, and willing to multi-task.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
