Job summary

Southern Cable Sdn Bhd in Kuala Ketil, Kedah seeks a QC Engineer to join our Quality Assurance & Control team. You will implement, monitor and improve QC procedures across manufacturing to meet the highest quality standards and customer expectations.

Ideal candidate has engineering degree, 1+ year in quality roles, and hands-on ISO, SPC, Six Sigma, Lean experience. Proficiency in MS Office and QC software is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of quality assurance and control experience in manufacturing.
• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 or equivalent.
• Proficient in QC tools and statistical methods (SPC, Six Sigma, Lean).
• Experience with testing equipment and quality inspection procedures for cable/electronics.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing quality control procedures and standards.
• Conducting regular inspections and testing to identify defects and deviations.
• Analysing quality data and preparing reports on trends and root causes.
• Collaborating with production teams to resolve quality issues and take corrective actions.
• Maintaining documentation of all quality control activities and test results.
• Performing statistical analysis and quality audits for continuous compliance.
• Training production staff on quality standards and procedures.
• Liaising with suppliers to address material quality concerns.
• Recommending equipment upgrades and process improvements.
