Job summary

SCHOTT Malaysia in Penang seeks a Quality Assurance professional to ensure products meet customer and quality requirements. You will support new product introduction, develop quality plans, and drive process improvements.

Fresh graduates are welcome. Candidates should be analytical, proficient in MS Office, and familiar with SPC/FMEA, with a willingness to commit to a 1-year contract (potential to convert to permanent).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Physics, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline.
• Fresh Graduates are welcomed to apply.
• Knowledge of quality tools such as SPC and FMEA is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• A proactive team player with a passion for quality, continuous improvement, and learning.
• Willing to accept 1 year fixed term contract, however depending on headcount availability and performance, there is a possibility to convert to permanent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet customer and quality requirements through effective quality assurance processes.
• Support new product introduction by developing quality plans, conducting product qualification, and driving process improvements.
• Maintain and improve Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 & ISO 14001) and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Perform quality audits, analyze quality data, and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality.
• Investigate customer complaints, perform root cause analysis using quality tools (e.g. 8D, FMEA, SPC), and drive sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to deliver continuous quality improvements.
• Support quality training, documentation, and other quality-related projects as assigned.
• Other tasks as assigned.
